Brazilian by birth, American by heritage and Marseillais by adoption, Peter is the founder of the new media project that bears his name. Copywriter and creative director by trade, some of his most memorable moments have been spent in the Provensal forest after a good rainfall, in the Atchafalaya Basin running alligator traps or contemplating the universe and improvising a music of the spheres. Peter is the father of four and a husband of 33, years that is. He is committed for the long term and rooted in the traditions of independent excellence and team play.
Hired directly out of the Freeman School of Business to work at Fitzgerald Advertising, a full-service advertising agency, Peter has spent 28 years in advertising communications, first as a media buyer and planner, then as media director and director of promotions research and finally, as Marketing director for a company providing receptive travel services. Various agency assignments allowed Peter to gain broad experience in product development and market testing for packaged goods (Tabasco brand products), travel and special events marketing (1984 Louisiana World Fair) and public service marketing (Louisiana Power and Light/ENTERGY).
In 1986 Peter went client-side to help build a receptive travel agency specializing in cultural travel off the beaten path. This involvement in promoting a territory’s attractiveness for tourist activity combined with an interest in “industrial policy” have led to lecturing opportunities in the fields of industrial marketing and development.
